The Lactic Acid Peel (30%, pH 2.8) is a gentle yet effective working acid peel designed to target pigmentation, blemishes, dullness, and uneven skin tone while delivering deep hydration and a brighter, more radiant complexion. This lower pH resurfacing treatment helps refine skin texture with minimal irritation, making it ideal for achieving smoother, healthier-looking skin with light post-peel flaking.

WHAT IS LACTIC ACID?

• Derived from milk (an AHA)
• Larger molecule compared to glycolic acid -> slower penetration
• Gentler and more hydrating
• Naturally occurring in the skin's metabolic processes

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Active skin infections or open wounds
• Severe rosacea or eczema
• Recent use of isotretinoin (within 6-12 months)
• Allergies to AHAs
• Sunburned or compromised skin barrier
• Pregnancy (consult protocols/policies)

What to Expect:

During the Treatment: You may experience temporary redness, mild tingling, or slight sensitivity during the peel treatment as the active acids work to exfoliate and renew the skin.

After the Treatment: Expect a brighter, more radiant complexion with improved skin texture and hydration. Mild dryness, peeling, or light flaking may occur post treatment, although this is not always visible, making it an excellent pre-event glow peel.
